Hugs Bison! Podcast #16 Bursts Out Of Your Chest

hugs-bison-electronicaExcited as I am about the likelihood for French rockers DARIA playing Scottish shows in October, it’s not all guitar rock around these parts you know. With Scotland’s electronica scene as popular as ever, Alex chats to Hugs Bison to see what’s going on further afield.

Hands are held up. My self-imposed daily updates have gotten slightly off-track. This is being addressed. With September looming, it’s time to dust off the light box and knuckle down for another shift of seasonal change. Hyperproductivity has its uses. Especially in a world where ignorance in the workplace is common and Google may as well set up office in The Whitehouse. Oh, and Syria is kicking off.

There’s loads of things I’d like to make progress on from regular app updates to demoing songs with my Mac. In truth it’s a Mac mini but for the sole purpose of upsetting Apple fanboys I will forever refer to it as my Mini Mac.

Which leads me into the latest podcast. Alex, a natural presenter and conversationalist, has been doing a brilliant job of keeping the series going with assistance from myself. The current plan is for new episodes to appear on this blog first (which we’ll plug) and then a week later it’ll appear as usual on iTunes and Alonetone (which gives us another opportunity to plug it again).

If you enjoy the series then please do spread the word!

Phil Powell, half of Cumbria based electronic outfit Hugs Bison, talks to Alex about touch screen creativity, the Singularity, cloud computing, Lost, and why the word ‘Frak’ destroys the suspension of disbelief during viewings of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica….amongst many many other things.
